چکیده

Cassava adaptation to climate change and its resistance diseases are essential prerequisites for achieving food security in sub-Saharan Africa. The accessions collected from farmers’ fields very important because they can provide new sources of genetic variability that achieve this goal. In study, a panel 184 Burkina Faso was genotyped using 36 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers. markers presented with more than 6% missing data were removed the dataset remaining 34 166 retained diversity population structure assessment. average values expected heterozygosity (0.46), observed (0.58), polymorphic information content (0.36) indicated high within accessions. A complex through formation 17 clusters discriminant analysis principal components (DAPC) two Bayesian analysis. Out accessions, 79 unique multilocus genotypes (MLGs) 87 potentially duplicates. From MLGs, DAPC suggested eight while seven clusters. Clusters shaped by appeared be consistent higher probability assignment Principal Coordinate Analysis (PCoA) showed lack clustering according geographical origin. Information related breeding patterns geographic origin did not allow clear differentiation between molecular variance (AMOVA). results study will useful cassava germplasm conservation programs.

Background Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) are considered as one of the underlying causes of male infertility. Proper sperm chromatin packaging which involves replacement of histones with protamines has profound effect on male fertility. Over 20 SNPs have been reported for the protamine 1 and 2. MaterialsAndMethods The aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of two previously repo...

Genomic and single nucleotide polymorphism analysis of infectious bronchitis coronavirus.

Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is a Gammacoronavirus that causes a highly contagious respiratory disease in chickens. A QX-like strain was analysed by high-throughput Illumina sequencing and genetic variation across the entire viral genome was explored at the sub-consensus level by single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis. Thirteen open reading frames (ORFs) in the order 5'-UTR-1a-1ab-S...

Development of a cassava core collection based on single nucleotide polymorphism markers.

Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers were used in the largest cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) germplasm collection from Brazil to develop core collections based on the maximization strategy. Subsets with 61, 64, 84, 128, 256, and 384 cassava accessions were selected and named PoHEU, MST64, PoRAN, MST128, MST256, and MST384, respectively. All the 798 alleles identified by 402 SNP mark...
